A great time was had at our annual Christmas Dinner this year. Approximately 40 members and friends attended. There was a free raffle with all prizes gifted by members. Well done to Ross and Monica for organising this.
Poole Men's Shed had a stall at this popular event, here being manned by member Ed. We also supplied Father Christmas for the visitors, NOT being portrayed by Ed! It is in fact our Social Secretary, Ross.
Many thanks to Kishor, Jay, Suresh and their families for including us in their Diwali celebration. We all had a great time. Here's the proof!
Poole Men's Shed played skittles against Wareham Men's Shed at the "Clay Pipe" inn, Holton Heath.
After a very close 4 rounds of skittles Poole Men's Shed emerged as winner by ONE POINT! A large group of shedders were present on Wednesday to welcome our MP Michael Tomlinson KC MP. Michael spent about an hour touring the shed social area and workshops talking to our members. As we are non political it was a time to share our Interests, hopes and dreams. We are grateful for the time Michael took to chat and hope that he now has a clearer understanding of the men's shed movenent and especially Poole Men's shed. 20 members enjoyed a great day out on board "Dolphin", skippered and crewed by shed members Martin and Kevin.

Ross very kindly treated us to pancakes & demonstrated his pancake tossing skills.
Still needs a little more practice obviously, but we can assure the person who had the one that fell on the floor that we brushed all the fluff off it. Ray, Mike & Dave have repaired & re-hung a wooden gate at Buckingham Court residential home.
Residential estate manager Jane was very pleased with the outcome. Sophie, from the Upton Bay Care Home came to our meeting to present us with £65.20 raised on sales of the handmade Christmas decorations made by Poole Men's Shed. Also, we handed over some bird feeding trays for the care home garden.

Ross cuts the Christmas cake at Limelights. The Cake was made by Jackie Clive, our treasurer's daughter. Sadly circumstances prevented both coming to the dinner. Luckily they now have a gift wrapped slice.
The "Jackie shed cake" is an annual feature at the shed Xmas celebration. In recognition of her dedication as a non Shedder she was awarded the "Shed Pin Badge" - a unique award. See video HERE. The breakfast club meets on the last Monday of each month at Upton Bay care home.
It's like a five star hotel and a full English is just a fiver. Just how many shedmen does it take to decorate a three foot tree? The first breakfast club meeting at the Upton Bay care home. A very reasonably priced full English. We will be back.
